Exemplary Programs
Welcome to Lake Forest South Elementary where we believe everyone who learns, plays, and grows with us is "On track for success!"

We have a designated building-wide instructional time that provides our students with differentiated instruction in both math and reading in a small group setting which is known as “On track for success” time. This allows us to work with our students who are above, on, and below grade level. Our goal is to meet our students at their level and help them grow to reach their potential. We believe our Lake Forest South family will meet the essential needs of all learners by working together as a respectful community.

Curriculum Highlights
Lake Forest South is committed to student success by working with a variety of research-based resources to help our students achieve the Common Core Standards.

Our school has been awarded a grant from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to teach students about the importance of good nutrition and establishing healthy eating habits. Through the grant, we are able to provide our school community with the opportunity to taste a variety of fruits and vegetables.

Lake Forest South Elementary is a “School that Moves.” We are working towards becoming Healthy Spartans by making a commitment to move a minimum of 150 minutes per week.
