Exemplary Programs
East Elementary School of the Lake Forest School District is the home of students in Grades K-3 that live in the Frederica area of Lake Forest. East Elementary believes in the Core Values of the District Strategic Plan: Academic Success for every student, Partnerships with the Community, and Maintaining the School Facilities and Learning Environment for all staff and students.

Positive Behavior Support:
At Lake Forest East Elementary School students who have been consistently Respectful, Responsible and Safe are recognized each semester.

After School Tutoring Program:
East Elementary has an extensive after-school tutoring program to service students who need additional help with reading and math in grades 2 and 3.

Curriculum Highlights
East Elementary is very proud of the academic accomplishments of our students. Each year our students perform at high levels on the Smarter Balance State Assessment. On the 2016-2017 SBA Test, East Elementary in Language Arts had a 73% Proficiency Rate where the state average was 52%; in Mathematics, East Elementary had an 80% Proficiency Rate where the state average was 53%.

Through consistent focus on the district curriculum, pacing, differentiating the instruction to meet the needs of each child, Number Talks, Achieve 3000, and PLCs that are data rich and outcome driven, our staff is able to meet the academic needs of the diverse student population of East Elementary School.
