Curriculum Highlights
Bush Early Education Center meets the pre-academic and social needs of preschool children through theme-based learning.
"Big Day for Pre-K is organized into eight engaging and child-friendly themes. Each theme includes materials and activities that build knowledge and skills through integrated learning. The themes broaden as children understand more and more about the world around them. Each theme also has a Social-Emotional Focus integrated into theme activities and a Knowledge Focus that identifies the key concept children will learn for that month."
Bush Early Education Center uses this developmentally-appropriate curriculum to accommodate the differences in students' skills and experiences. Our students represent a wide range of developmental abilities, and are encouraged to grow both creatively and academically. The program incorporates the following programs to support and develop the skills of our students: BIG DAY for Pre-K, Meet Mat Man and Handwriting Without Tears.

VISION - The instructional team at the Bush Early Education Center is committed to providing our students with the most current and developmentally appropriate methods of instructions. Teachers, therapists and paraeducators participate in PLCs and are encouraged to attend workshops and in-service to continue their knowledge base.

MISSION - Our mission is to provide all students with the opportunity to grow in all domains: personal-social, emotional, cognitive, motor and language. We believe that family involvement is key to helping each student develop in each of these areas. Key components of the Bush program include open communication and parent partnerships among staff and families. In the Brandywine School District we strive to embrace, inspire and challenge every child every day.
