Exemplary Programs
Exemplary programming exists in the daily routine at Brick Mill Elementary. Our Highly Qualified teachers attend rigorous professional development in best practices. Current best practices are included in the frameworks of Responsive Classroom, Learning Focused Strategies, TERC Math Program, hands-on Social Studies units, and Smithsonian/Foss Science kits. These best practices give the teachers effective methods of helping each student meet the Appoquinimink District and Common Core State Standards. Each child learns strategies for college and career readiness. Integrated curriculum and differentiation are embedded in all of our educational programs.
