Exemplary Programs
At West Seaford Elementary, we strive to put children first as we work to create a motivating, nurturing, and challenging learning environment. Influenced by the District's focus on career and college readiness, programs are designed to provide instruction that meets the varied needs and interests of our students with an emphasis on true student engagement and rigor. West Seaford provides small group instructional opportunities in both reading and math in order to meet individual needs. In addition, we offer a Spanish Immersion Program in each of our grades (K-2). Students in the program and have the opportunity to spend half of their instructional day fully immersed in the Spanish language and the other half learning in English. Students progress through this program as it continues up through our 3- 5 grade "sister" school. Having just completed our 30th year as a partner in the Foster Grandparent Program, our school embraces a community approach to supporting all students.

Curriculum Highlights
As a primary (K-2) school, we are focused on a strong foundational approach to learning through rigorous academic curricula and diverse strategies. West Seaford offers educational programs that advance students' education in the areas of math, reading, science, social studies, the visual and performing arts, physical education and English as a Second Language. Curricular resources utilized include Math in Focus, Bookworm Lessons, Number Talks, and Smithsonian Science Kits. We utilize an inclusive model focusing on students achieving in groups of structured diversity. Students are given the opportunity for educational enrichment through various structured opportunities in a technology-rich environment. Our students' academic growth is closely monitored through regular assessments and progress monitoring. We are committed to offering the best teaching and education for our growing and diverse population.
