Exemplary Programs
North Laurel is strongly committed to providing all children with an educational experience that values the arts and special programs. With our vibrant music, art, library, physical education & computer education classes, including computer assisted instruction through SuccessMakers, our students receive a rich & diverse standards based education. Our school counselor provides individual, small group, classroom, and grade level counseling services to best meet the varied needs of our students and families. The Comer Process uses six developmental pathways as a framework for making decisions that will benefit all children.

Curriculum Highlights
Parents are an integral part of our decision making process serving on our NLES Executive council, Building Leadership Team and other school teams and supports as well. We are increasingly devoted to improving home-school communications. We continue to align our curriculum, instruction and assessments with the Delaware Content Standards. Teachers also use the Interactive Whiteboard and Turning Points software to further enhance instruction.
