Curriculum Highlights
At Georgetown Elementary School we strive daily for academic excellence through all aspects of our school. It is our goal to prepare EVERY student to be college and career ready. We have a comprehensive Math and English Language Arts curriculum that spiral throughout the grade levels and focuses on key concepts and real-world higher level problem solving methods. We utilize daily Response to Intervention (RTI) periods for all students from Pre K to Grade 5. RTI in reading and mathematics allows for small group instruction to assist all children at their instructional level to ensure academic success. Furthermore, all of our teachers use Learning Focused Strategies and differentiated instruction to provide a student centered educational environment. We integrate technology into our instruction through the use of Chromebooks, iPads and computers, and integrate Google Apps for Education into our daily instruction to help prepare our students for future careers.
