Parents and extended families are involved in MES through activities such as our Strengthening Families Program as well as a Family Literacy Program. Art Showcases feature: performances by 4th/5th grade chorus and our 5th grade band, two pieces of artwork displayed for every student, and The MES Arcade consisting of student-generated games developed after learning to write code. Our annual Field Day, Health Fair (attended by over 1,000 visitors), daily use of Restorative Practice activities, fresh fruits and vegetable program, and physical activities embedded in the school day, support our Healthy School initiative for student mental and physical health.
