Curriculum Highlights
We strive to increase and maintain high academic expectations and achievement for our HOB students with continuous improvement for all. Emphasis is given to our core content areas of Reading, Writing, Math, Social Studies and Sciene skills using inquiry based curriculum and instruction aligned with our Common Core State Standards. We use Learning Focused Strategies to ensure all students are engaged in learning and academic outcomes are met. Students demonstrate their learning and understanding of concepts across all grades thanks to the collaborative efforts of our stakeholders. Students have access to the support of an on-site Reading Specialist, Math Specialist and two ELL teachers who work with students and staff members to ensure the success of all. During classroom instruction and RTI each day, students' individual needs are met in small, flexible group settings. Our HOSTS program utilizes the tremendous support of our community mentors.
