Exemplary Programs
Mispillion Elementary School opened in the fall of 2011 and serves grades 1-5. Through our Positive Behavior Support (PBS) program we support student learning by providing school-wide expectations for behavior and citizenship. Students demonstrate Mispillion PRIDE each day. In our continuing effort to meet the needs of the whole child, Mispillion Elementary promotes wellness and healthy choices. Our child nutrition manager, school nurse, and physical education teacher collaborate to promote physical fitness and healthy eating through activities such as the NFL's Fuel Up to Play 60 program. Students are involved in our school as part of our Student Council and Honor Society for fourth and fifth grade students. Mispillion students participate in Odyssey of the Mind, Girls on the Run and Econ and Me activities.

Curriculum Highlights
Mispillion Elementary is working toward full implementation of the Common Core State Standards. These standards provide the framework for English Language Arts and Mathematics and encourage higher-level thinking and problem-solving skills. Our curriculum, Envision Math and Journey's Reading, supports these standards. Our focus on using data to direct instruction allows teachers to target their materials and instruction to meet the needs of each student.
