Exemplary Programs
The Morris Childhood Center (MECC) is home to the district's youngest "Buccaneers"! Morris ECC offers several exemplary programs for its school families that enhance the learning process. The school hosts multiple evening events that provide hands-on, engaging activities connected to the school's curriculum. All Morris students utilize technology in their classrooms. Computers with internet capabilities and smartboards are used in every classroom as an instructional tool.

Morris Early Childhood Center also houses the district's pre-kindergarten program. Students with special education needs work beside their typical peers as they receive early intervention services. Pre-kindergarten students also use technology to read stories and learn basic concepts such as shapes, colors and letters of the alphabet.

Curriculum Highlights
The Milford School District and Morris Early Childhood have established a curriculum development process which supports alignment to the Common Core State Standards. The curriculum not only identifies essential knowledge and skills, but also supports students’ development in problem solving and gathering and using resources that will enable them to succeed. The early childhood focus incorporates this academic curriculum with learning centers and developmentally appropriate activities. In addition, the curriculum is aligned vertically so that students have the skills and knowledge necessary to move from one grade level to the next .
