Exemplary Programs
Fifer is proud to continue CR’s 100 year long tradition of excellence. Academically, the staff continues to use technology as a means for students to access curriculum/instructional resources. Students are regularly using classroom SMART Boards, Chromebooks and the Google family of applications to collaborate and share information in real time. Fifer's parent/community Lunch and Learn program continues to grow by teaching parents about the curriculum/standards and instructional tools our students are using regularly in the classroom. This parent/teacher collaboration continues to pay dividends with our students continuing to show academic growth.

Outside of the classroom, Fifer students continued to shine. The BPA had nine students invited to compete at the 2015 National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, CA. Four of the nine student won top prizes.

Curriculum Highlights
The Caesar Rodney School District has established a curriculum development process which supports alignment to the Delaware Recommended Curriculum/Common Core State Standards. This process involves teacher and administrative input through a Curriculum Cabinet and Council process. The preparation of our students as life-long learners in a global community of the 21st century society is the unifying objective of this process. The curriculum not only identifies essential knowledge and skills, but also supports students’ development in problem solving and gathering and using resources that will enable them to succeed. Each content area (English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Visual and Performing Arts, World Languages, Physical Education, Health, and Family and Consumer Sciences) also has an Assessment of Learning and Assessment for Learning component to support students in the learning process and to determine specific performance relative to the State Standards.
