Exemplary Programs
W. Reily Brown Elementary is a community of learners, focused on ensuring that our students are prepared for their next steps in their education and beyond. Our school is a Leader in Me School and our students develop their leadership skills through learning about and incorporating Steven Covey's 7 Habits in school and at home. W. Reily Brown students are provided with many leadership opportunities. Students can participate in the Student Lighthouse Team, join the Step Team, chorus, and/or band, and participate in Girls on the Run, intramural basketball, and/or Odyssey of the Mind. W. Reily Brown celebrates our community during our annual College and Career Readiness Day, Leadership Day, and our monthly community events. In 2016, we were recognized as a Delaware Department of Education Recognition School for our efforts in closing the achievement gap. We are proud of our school, district, and community. Riders lead the way!

Curriculum Highlights
The Caesar Rodney School District has established a curriculum development process which supports alignment to the Delaware Recommended Curriculum/Common Core State Standards. The preparation of our students as life-long learners in a global community of the 21st century society was the unifying objective of this process. The curriculum not only identified essential knowledge and skills, it also supports students’ development in problem solving and gathering and using resources that will enable them to succeed. Each content area (English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Visual and Performing Arts, and Physical Education) has an Assessment of Learning and Assessment for Learning component to determine students' progress in the learning process and specific performance relative to the Common Core State Standards and Delaware Recommended Curriculum.
