Exemplary Programs
Postlethwait invites our students to be a part of award-winning opportunities academically, artistically, and athletically. Our Business Professionals of America, Technology Student Association, Math League, Science Olympiad and Odyssey of the Mind teams continue to be top contenders at the local and state level. As a service to our school community, Postlethwait's National Junior Honor Society provides mentoring services at our neighboring John S. Charlton Program. We also boast a regionally acclaimed Concert Band, Women’s Choir, and Band. Green conscious students of our Eco-Team have created and maintain an outdoor classroom located behind our campus. Postlethwait is proud to say that we are a nationally recognized Green Ribbon School. Winning with CR Pride, our sports teams are shining examples of our tradition of excellence. Postlethwait was recognized as a Superstars in Education award recipient in 2016 and received the Lieutenant Governor's Award for Parental Involvement in 2014.

Curriculum Highlights
The Caesar Rodney School District has established a curriculum development process which supports alignment to the existing Common Core Standards and Grade Level Expectations. This process involves teacher and administrative input through a Curriculum Cabinet and Council process. The preparation of our students as life-long learners in a global community is the unifying objective of this process. The curriculum not only identifies essential knowledge and skills, but also supports our students’ development by offering numerous problem-solving experiences.
