Exemplary Programs
The Academy is considered to be the “flagship of the NJROTC program.” All cadets are part of the NJROTC Corp of Cadets and many hold leadership positions at various levels within the regiment. These positions provide leadership opportunities that are limited in a regular high school. Cadets can participate in our competitive drill, color guard and marksmanship teams. Our Leadership Program assists cadets who wish to pursue a service Academy appointment or ROTC scholarship.

The Academy hosts a Model UN program which fosters debate and argumentative skills while exploring past, present and future foreign policy. The Academy’s Revolutionary War Re-enactment program allows cadets to step back in time and experience the war through the eyes of a soldier. The Academy boasts award winning Science Olympiad, Math League and Robotics programs. Our BPA program is competitive at the state and national level. For the cadet interested in the arts, we have many opportunities.

Curriculum Highlights
Academics play a major role in the success of our cadets after graduation from the Academy. All cadets participate in a rigorous academic program which includes English, Math, Science, History, Naval Science, music, business and a minimum of three years of Spanish. All cadets participate in a college prep program to prepare them for the rigors of college, or for a leadership role in the military or corporate world. Each cadet at the Delaware Military Academy is encouraged to enroll in a minimum of one Advanced Placement (AP) class and two honors level courses while at the Academy. AP level courses offer high school cadets the opportunity to earn college credits in basic subject areas including Math, English, Social Studies and the Sciences. Qualified cadets can choose from eight different AP level courses. Honors English and Math are available to 9th grade cadets and honors courses are available in all four core content courses starting in 10th grade.
