Exemplary Programs
Richardson Park Learning Center is an inclusion program for the pre-school students. Our school day consists of daily 'Jump and Play' activities, a Peer Buddy program with Wilmington Charter High School, and a nutrition program for students through Delaware State University that provides daily fresh fruits and vegetables. All students have access to the general curriculum in all subject areas, and mainstreaming opportunities for inclusion at Richardson Park Elementary.

All students receiving supportive instruction in the Autism Program have inclusive settings based on their IEP. Our Preschool program is currently at a 4 STARS rating.

Curriculum Highlights
All KN - 5th grade students are instructed using on grade level curriculum. Accommodations are provided to students who are working below grade level or as determined through the IEP process. Students have full inclusive opportunities in lunch, recess and unified arts. Academics are determined based on each student's IEP.
Field trips are offered to all student's in grades KN through 5th grade with Richardson Park Elementary.
All preschool classrooms use the High Scope curriculum and standards are based on the Early Learning Foundations.
Alignment with the STARS guidelines and the use of the ECKERS are used in each individual classroom.
Itinerant services are provided in the Head Start programs in the city of Wilmington and New Castle County.

RPLC/Early Years Program both have Nationally certified teachers and BCBA staff classroom.
Classrooms have inclusive based integrated therapies.
School wide PBS for grades KN - 5th grade in conjunction with Richardson Park Elementary School.
A joint PTO is established and parent events are scheduled.
The preschool also offers 3 family evening events focused on gross motor and planning, literacy and music exploration.
