Exemplary Programs
Many exemplary programs take place at the Home of the Colonials. WP has a successful athletic program that offers 22 different sports allowing full participation to those who want an athletic experience. Students also have opportunities in music and drama, including symphonic, concert, and marching bands; chorus and concert chorus; and 2 stage productions each year. Involvement with organizations such as Student Council, Future Farmers of America, and Business Professionals of America give students the chance to compete on state and national levels. Club members are exposed to service projects that positively represent WP to the community. Technology is integral in the learning process and plays a role in our classrooms. Students may enroll in CISCO in which they design, build and maintain computer networks. At WP there is a computer in every classroom, 6 business labs, 2 library computer labs, and 2 graphic arts labs. Smartboards are used to enhance instruction in many content areas.
