The McCullough staff is committed to challenging students to be academically, socially, and technologically prepared for high school and beyond. McCullough Middle School provides many opportunities for students to succeed. At McCullough Middle School, we provide an inviting school environment that facilitates the intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development of children. We hold fast to the idea that learning encourages success and that assessment, including self-assessment, is a critical part of learning. We realize that students have multiple intelligences that need to be recognized and nurtured, and students learn by taking risks in a student-centered, accepting environment. McCullough is a Positive Behavior System (PBS) school that encourages students to be successful both academically and socially. As a PBS school, McCullough offers many positive rewards and recognizes students for both academic achievement and improvement as well as positive behavior and growth.

Curriculum Highlights
McCullough Middle School is a STEAM school. STEAM integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math into all elements of our curriculum. STEAM will give our students the skills they need for success in the future, and to be college and career ready.McCullough Middle School utilizes its highly qualified staff to instruct students in the various curricular areas. Students in each grade are designated to specific teams to attend their academic classes. The teachers' familiarity with the students on their team is beneficial for both differentiating instruction and planning cross-curricular activities according to the needs and abilities of their students. Our Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, and Science Curricula are based on the Delaware State content standards and use common assessments as a tool for evaluation. Our staff uses research based strategies from Learning Focused Solutions to engage our students in rigorous and relevant lessons. McCullough's Honors Program
