Exemplary Programs
At Pulaski, we address the needs of the "WHOLE CHILD". Through the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program and a partnership with Healthy Schools, we recognize the importance of feeding a child's body in more ways than one. We continue to believe that our parents are our true partners. We welcome other "Paw-some Partners," community members/businesses that help our pupils to grow academically. The Boys and Girls Club offers before and after-school care as a service to parents/guardians. Pulaski is a Culturally-Responsive Positive Behavior Support School. Extra-curricular activities include band, safety patrol and basketball. Cultural enrichment partnerships with United Way and The Queen Theater are highly favored to extend learning through real-world experiences. At Pulaski, children are FIRST and learning is Top Priority.

Curriculum Highlights
Pulaski provides an inclusive learning environment that focuses on differentiated instruction. Teachers use Journeys and Math Connects materials to implement the Common Core State Standards and practice Learning Focused Strategies to enhance lessons. Remedial support is provided by classroom teachers and Reading/Math Interventionists. Writing across the curriculum helps to develop students in all academic areas and strengthens writing skills. Science and Social Studies skills are integrated throughout all subjects. Response to Intervention further addresses the needs of struggling learners. Gifted and Talented instruction provides enrichment for those pupils who can benefit from additional challenges. To support our diverse population, our ELL Program cultivates the children’s English language while their native language and culture are respected. Pulaski is "PAW-SOME!”
