Exemplary Programs
|
JDHS will prepare students of varying abilities for higher education at colleges or universities or post-graduate entry into varied professions. We will provide a concentrated, focused curriculum coupled with real-world experiences and project oriented work.
The Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assessment is used to measure instruction growth in Reading and Mathematics. It is administered 3 times each year (Fall, Winter, and Spring).
Dickinson High School will be implementing a Ninth Grade Transition Academy to support students successfully transitioning to high school.
Dickinson has also implemented inclusionary classrooms at the 9th and 10th grade levels.
Students can participate in a variety of after-school programs to enrich their high school experience. JDHS has 11 different clubs and activities. The athletic program fields 24 varsity sports teams.
