Exemplary Programs
Conrad is a biotechnology and allied health magnet secondary school with grades 6-12 in one renovated, air conditioned building. Conrad has an excellent library, 3 computer labs, 6 laptop carts, 12 science labs, a distance learning lab, 3 gymnasiums, and a strength & conditioning center. Highly qualified teachers with traditional and industry backgrounds utilize technology in lessons connecting rigor, relevance, and relationships in a caring and safe environment with a student dress code. The goal is to graduate students who are college and career-ready in the fields of biotechnology and health careers. Students take Advanced Placement courses and may also take dual-enrollment college course while still in high school. The middle school offers a challenging preparation for the rigors of the high school with unique opportunities in Forensics, Emergency Response Skills, Anatomy, Animal Science, etc. Preference is given to middle school students when applying to the high school.

Curriculum Highlights
The A/B Block schedule with four 90 minute periods maximizes learning. Middle school ELA and Math are scheduled daily, doubling instruction and allowing students to complete Algebra I and Geometry in middle school. Exploratory courses are aligned with Conrad’s unique bio-science magnet. Middle school extracurriculars include traditional and science clubs and activities and interscholastic sports. The high school offers a rigorous Biotechnology and Allied Health curriculum at the center of a traditional high school experience. 3-year pathways are offered in Biotechnology Research, Biomedical Science, Veterinary Science, Nurse Tech, and Physical Therapy/Athletic Healthcare. Industry partners enhance career-readiness through job shadowing, mentoring, and a senior capstone credit while AP courses, Dual-Enrollment College courses, and unique science electives ensure students are college-ready. High school clubs, activities, and athletics offer students a well rounded experience.
