Exemplary Programs
Skyline offers a wide array of academic and co-curricular activities to serve as an outlet for students’ interests and abilities. After school activities include Science Olympics, Odyssey of the Mind, and Math League to name a few. Skyline students have won or been recognized with a wide range of awards for their efforts in these programs. Skyline is now a PBS (Positive Behavior Support) school. We focus attention on teaching students the expected behaviors in and around our building and we look to reward students with PAWS cards for demonstrating positive behaviors. We are very excited about a new mentoring program at Skyline called PAWS PALS. This is a student led mentoring program assisting students with academics and organization. This year we are equally exited to bring the AVID program to Skyline. AVID will provide identified students with academic and emotional support to take on the rigor found in honors courses with the goal being to move students into Honors classes.
