Curriculum Highlights
Our curriculum is aligned with the Common Core State Standards and our classrooms are led by highly qualified educators who employ research-based instructional strategies. Beyond a rigorous academic curriculum, students enjoy daily Morning Meetings within their classrooms, setting a tone for respectful and engaged learning in a climate of trust. Information Literacy skills are developed through authentic research projects, guiding thinkers to locate, access and analyze multiple sources of information by navigating both print and technological resources. Learning stretches beyond the walls of the traditional classroom, with lessons led in our student-designed Outdoor Classroom, connecting children with their environment and honoring the developmental needs of active, curious young minds. All members of our school community are charged with sharing of themselves, making a difference, inspiring others, learning to give, and expanding their horizons.
