Exemplary Programs
At Richey Elementary School, our programs focus on improving the academic achievement of all students. We encourage all students to do their best. Our school family is committed to educating all children in a developmentally appropriate, child-centered environment. We are pleased to offer the following programs to promote student progress: Literature Based Reading Program, Response to Intervention (RTI), Accelerated Reader, Title I reading, the Math Expressions program, Integrated Technology, and Smithsonian Science.

Curriculum Highlights
All students receive a minimum of 90 minutes of reading instruction and 75 minutes of math instruction on a daily basis. In addition, all students participate in RTI for a minimum of 90 minutes a week. Science and Social Studies are part of daily study as well. Students receive instruction in art, music, and physical education once a week. Students visit the library weekly to learn library skills, check out books, or work on the computer. Students in grades 3 and 4 will receive 1:1 technology devices to use in school.
