Exemplary Programs
Springer Middle School offers a variety of academic and over thirty extracurricular programs that contribute to each student’s growth and development to include: Band and Chorus, Science Olympiad, Technology Student Association, Drama and Musical Clubs, Business Professionals of America, Yearbook, NJHS, Mathematics League, Science Fair and Science Olympiad, Homework Club, Rapid Readers and Peer Tutoring Clubs as well as Cross Country, Volleyball, Baseball and Softball, Soccer, Field Hockey, Tennis and Basketball. Springer Middle School's B.A.R.K. Program is a positive behavior support (PBS) system that recognizes students for following principles that reflect good Springer citizenship. Springer’s Healthy Foods for Healthy Kids Program affords students the opportunity to plant, grow, harvest, cook and enjoy fresh foods and emphasizes the importance of a healthy diet. Springer’s Band and Chorus programs have performed extremely well in numerous regional and national competitions.

Curriculum Highlights
Springer Middle School is committed to providing each student an exemplary educational program that fosters critical thinking skills and positive peer interactions. The Mathematics program offers courses from high school geometry to academic enrichment opportunities to help students progress to meeting and exceeding the State Standards. The English Language Arts program emphasizes analytical thinking skills, reading strategies and writing skills across various contexts. Our Science programs use an inquiry-based, laboratory approach to explore concepts that include Life Science, Earth Science, Physical Science, Astronomy, and Chemistry. And our Social Studies courses focus on History, Civics/Government, Economics and Geography using a variety of methods. The Related Arts Programs (Fine Arts, Computers and a challenging STEM program) round out the many programs at Springer.
