Exemplary Programs
P.S. duPont Middle School provides numerous opportunities for students to excel both academically, physically, and socially. We are proud to house the following specialized programs at our middle school: Gifted and Talented Program, Brandywine Specialized Autism Program (BSAP), and the Independent Learning Program (ILP). We offer our students a diverse music program that is second to none. More than 80% of our student population participate in our award winning Bands, Orchestra, Choirs, and, Steel Drums ensembles. In addition to our diverse academic programming, we provide a host of extra-curricular activities and after school clubs as well as a plethora of interscholastic sports (competitive) and intramural sports (non-competitive).

Curriculum Highlights
The Academic Programs offered at P.S. duPont Middle school are diverse; we currently provide instruction for approximately 900 students in grades 6-8. Students attend a total of eight classes over a two-day period on a rotating A/B block schedule. We offer rigorous instruction in core content classes in addition to offering learning opportunities through exploratory courses. We promote an inclusive learning environment, and we offer self-contained classes for students with Autism and independent learning needs. Hundreds of PS students participate in external learning opportunities, academic competitions, and trips that enrich our students and support their growth as learners, leaders, and global citizens!
